NBA baller Ron Artest, a colorful chap to say the VERY least, got pulled over in a vehicle that had passersby scratching their heads. Artest who is known for being eccentric, controversial and oftentimes too outspoken was stopped by an L.A. patrolman for driving in a vehicle that was a dead ringer for an Indy 500 race car.

The vehicle in question is actually an Eagle Roadster, a street-legal “kit car” with headlights, two seats and a Chrysler engine. The Eagle is a 1,900 lb 1 + 1 roadster powered by a 253-horsepower 3.5-liter Chrysler iron block V6. It can accelerate to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and rips through a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 113 mph.

Artest was actually not speeding in the roadster but did have expired tags, so he was given a citation.

At least he was protecting his noggin with a helmut!
