Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport versions will be using the 3.0-liter diesel powerplant of Jaguar that can generate either 272 hp and 237 hp. The powerplant is an enhanced model of the 2.7-liter AJV6 presently utilized by the Land Rover Discovery. No available information has been received to establish if the modified powerplant will substitute or support the 2.7-liter unit, which is configured for twin-turbo on Jaguars but only a single turbocharger on Land Rover versions.
The latest engine will emerge simultaneously with the modified versions of the Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport in September of this year.
