Being too busy is never a REAL problem. Is it troublesome to keep track of a laundry list of things to do while hitting goals at 100 percent, yes. BUT it's better to be overworked and in demand than just another B-list player.

That's, more or less, what Jaguar Land Rover is going through right this second as demand for the über sport-utility vehicles reaches a fever pitch.

Having driven the Evoque and top of the line Range Rover, it's easy to see why. They're great products that are easy on the eyes and have a certain cachet you will not find in an Audi, BMW or Mercedes. Sorry, boys and girls, that's just the way of the world.

According to a research report, a significant chunk of demand is stemming from China AND the company's order intake is sitting at 40 percent ABOVE JLR's original planning base case.

Demand for the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport is so strong that Land Rover is struggling to fill orders.

The waiting time for the recently launched Range Rover Sport is nine months while buyers of the larger Range Rover, on sale since the start of this year, must wait six months, a spokesman told me.

The demand is particularly strong in China, despite list prices as high as 2.8 million yuan (338,000 euros) for the Range Rover.
