With the Lexus LFA nearing the end of its production run, the Japanese company needs something to keep potentially customers interested in the brand, which has fallen behind the likes of BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Designed in California, the Lexus LF-LC Concept was debuted last year at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show with much success. It was such a hit that company officials have announced that they produce the LF-LC, according to Lexus’ vice-president of marketing Brian Smith while being interviewed by Wards Auto. He goes on to say that the LF-LC was originally released as a concept car only and when he received word that the car got the green light to enter production, he was as surprised as the rest of us.
