I'm sorry to Crash Your Party Lincoln but the people who buy the Lexus ES are very Loyal Clients so it will be very hard for you to persuade Lexus buyers to buy your cars. And it's does NOT either that Lexus is known for making some of the most luxurious, quiet, comfortable and reliable cars out there. — Lexus (View Profile)

Ford and Lincoln are building affordable cars the average person can love, enjoy and afford without taking out another mortgage on the house. Seriously, I can't believe some of these posts fawning over some of these overpriced foreign made goods. Do you know or care that many people are struggling in the recession, and that whiny spoiled rich kid type posts make you look extremely shallow? Are you at all aware of issues outside of yourself? Buy local if you can, and look for value as well as a bit of luxury if you still know how. Every carmaker has occasionally produced a dud, IMHO. So let's not crucify any particular brand, OK? I just bought last year's MKZ and I'm fine with it as I am not competing in the snob segment. I went green with a loaded up hybrid, and I will be good to go for the next 10 years, at least. May you do as well.— chlyn001 (View Profile)

...Come on, let's be real here. Lexus in goin to a whole new level and how is Lincoln even a thought in the avg consumers mind who already know that a Lexus is the top luxury car to purchase and to own, even an old Lexus still has influence. I'd be embarrassed to even publish this article stating that Lincoln could even contend in the same class with Lexus on any level. Wow trymee, surely you can do better than this!— lexworld (View Profile)

Sorry but the ES isn't a true Lexus. It is an upgraded Camry and the MKZ will likely offer similar features and luxury. The two will be cross shopped the question is how much.— 91z4me (View Profile)

Actually, people who buy a Lexus ES are demographic that are most likely, besides the baggage of being a Ford product, to give a COMPETITIVELY optioned, designed, priced and attractively styled Lincoln a chance. — MorePower (View Profile)

It has way more value than any car in the segment, and competes with cars costing thousands more.....— knowitall1985 (View Profile)

Lexus ES a game-changer? LOLVanilla sells. If the ES was "changed" in any major way it wouldn't sell in such high numbers. Hence Lexus keeps it in vanilla mode. Always has.— Willis (View Profile)

....The Lexus ES350 fully loaded is pretty much right around 50K so as I mentioned before, the Lincoln is in the wrong league here MOREPOWER,JEFFGALL and others with bad understanding of the vision of where Lexus is heading with these new re-designs. Oh well, Next!— lexworld (View Profile)

50K for a rebadged CAMRY? Are you kidding? I purchased a 2009 LS 460 for $57K (about $7,500 in rebates). Whoever pays that much for an ES350 is an imbecile.BTW It all depends how you define this segment, is it luxury because of the brand name or the price? My buddy paid 55K for a TOYOTA SEQUOIA "platinum edition." Besides huge leather seats and a nice infotainment system I don't see any luxury there but it was almost as expensive as my car. At the same time you can buy an IS 250 for high 30Ks, is this more luxurious because it has a LEXUS badge? Or is it because the price is higher? Therefore LINCOLN can compete.— USNA1999 (View Profile)

Before you airheads scoff at Lincoln, remember that Ford is behind that badge and they know how to build some of the finest darn cars/trucks in the world.Try not to look down your long crooked nose at the Lincoln. Check it out at the dealer and be prepared for a very pleasant surprise. The new Lincoln is a looker and it has a state of the art platform and power train to deliver the goods at a price friendly price point.— skytop (View Profile)

Ford builds some of the finest cars in the world? Cocaine's a hell of a drug. The Tempo was one hell of a fine car, rivaled only by the Chrysler K cars. Tempos had a front end that constantly needed alignment and looked like it had a 2 inch lift kit on the front because it sat up so high, especially during acceleration. Everytime I watched someone leave a stoplight back in high school the front end wold lift so high (as if it weren't already high enough) and the wheels would tilt out with what looked like 10 degrees of positive camber. top of the tires were pointed out while the bottoms tucked in (look at the back of an older lowered BMW or merdedes upside down). — 85bmw745i (View Profile)
