The new Lotus Evora 2+2 will receive a supercharged variant that will generate at least 350 hp while the normally ventilated 276 hp variant is set for launch in May this year.
Although there is not enough details concerning the latter variant it has been established that it is capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds and will have a maximum speed of 160 mph. The supercharged version can sprint at a lesser time of 5.0 seconds and reach a peak speed of 175 mph. This version however will be available in 2011 since it is not the current priority of car manufacturer Lotus. Meanwhile, the focus is leveled on other products that will be due this year, such as the standard version Lotus Evora which is set for sale this autumn in the US among others. Another version of the Evora that comes with an automatic torque converter is also intended, and which is expected to have a greater appeal for US customers although it won’t make it on time for the US launch.
