BMW has no plans to build a production version of the CS Concept or the M1 Hommage Concept. However, the automaker has been very vocal about another supercar internally known as the BMW Z10. Word of development on the Z10 started earlier this year, followed by confirmation by BMW Group’s head of design, Adrian van Hooydonk.
At the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept, which is virtually a study of a production Z10. According to Automobile Magazine, the car is being engineered as a coupe and a roadster with substantially more interior room than a Porsche 911. Target weight for the production Z10 is set in the vicinity of 3,300 pounds.
