At the 2014 New York Auto Show, BMW showed off a variety of all-new vehicles for the very first time. One of them was the BMW X5 eDrive, which is a plug-in hybrid vehicle. Considering how efficiency is becoming a bigger consumer concern AND the X5 is one of BMW's volume products, this has the potential to be BIG.

I had the chance to pilot the eDrive at BMW's North American headquarters this past Tuesday and though I have yet to write up my impressions, I will tell you now it was quite impressive.

Equipped with five driving modes, users have the chance to maximize the X5 eDrive's battery life. I will detail this in another post.

For now we'd just like for you to take a spin through the images Agent 001 shot this week and to provide some feedback: is THIS a hybrid YOU'd want in your driveway?
