Sometimes we just don't get it.  The competition is nipping at the heels of Toyota's Camry 12 year reign as the best selling car in the US.  While Toyota is rolling out the  superlatives in describing the updated sedan  just two years into a new design it may leave more questions than answers.

We will give credit where credit is due, this is a pretty big update but the real question is it enough to fend off the those hot on the heels of the segment leader?

Toyota's general manager Bill Fay is quick to point this is the "best Camry we've ever built" and promises to connect on both a rational and emotional level. Yeah I get "rational", that has always been a strong hold for the the Camry, but I have a hard time seeing "emotional" for the typical Camry owner.  That doesn't mean they can't groom a new audience, but those shoppers that are buying the competition might not be cross shopping the Camry you have an uphill battle there.
