There are certain cars that are most definitely icons. The Jeep Wrangler, the Porsche 911 and the Ferrari Testarossa.

If you look at a lot of automotive-related businesses, whether they're body shops, car washes and God knows what else, most likely you will find some shoddy clip art of a Testarossa, whether its signage or a business card. The car just made such a HUGE impression on, well, everyone.

One of the contributing factors was not only its outrageous side strakes incorporated into its low and wide design, but also Hollywood's usage of it it in Miami Vice. While Miami Vice is before my time, it's bee largely considered a highly influential program.

I just love it for its very 1980s feel — the music, the acting and, of course, the writing.

So, how much to potentially own a legend? Get this. The "Buy it Now" price is set at a staggering $1.75 million USD.

That's a whole lot of greenbacks and you could buy a fleet of '86 Testarossas at that price. That said, there are only TWO white Testarossas that were used in the filming of the program.

THE SHORT STORY about this car, when the MIAMI VICE show first aired a Daytona Ferrari replica was used, when Mr. Enzo Ferrari watched the show and witnessed the Fake Daytona he was outraged that a replica car was carrying his Ferrari name, automatically a law suit against Universal Studios was started.

A couple of shows later a deal was struck... the agreement was for Universal Studios Hollywood to BLOW UP the original Daytona replica on the actual M.V. show and for two new 1986 TESTAROSSA'S  to take over as the Special A.T.F. Vice cars.

Both cars were born Carbon black but the camera equipment 30 years ago wasnt good enough to keep up with the night scenes and the speed of the cars. So, director Michael Mann decided that both cars were to be painted White and the Iconic Miami Vice Ferrari was Born...
