I feel a bit like a broken record player at this point, but we've seen Jaguar Land Rover really stagger the buying public in recent years. Specifically Land Rover. Jaguar, on the other hand, has overall been losing sales in a big way as other automakers are capturing consumers' attention.

Sure, the F-Type has been a raging success, but where's the VOLUME product in the fast cat's bag of tricks? It doesn't really have one.

The game plan is for the XE to pitch in and contribute; however, if I were a betting man, I'd say that the XF will be more of the company's bread and butter. That's because entry-level Jags have never fared out well. The S-Type and XF though did have some popularity when they first came about.

As of now we know that Jaguar will be unveiling the vehicle to the public for the very first time online. But it won't be your ordinary reveal. The company will be hosting a stunt in London where the vehicle will be involved in a high-wire water crossing.

No, I am not joking.

In the company issued release, this all-new XF is said to boast the latest aluminum construction and obtain up to 70 mpg — we're assuming these would be from diesel powerplants on the European mpg scale.

For now only two images have been released. One is a rather vague helicopter view and the other is a full-on interior image. Let us know what you think of the #NewXF's cockpit, below!

  • Dramatic high-wire journey streamed globally on jaguar.com/newxf at 19:00 GMT
  • New XF to offer unrivalled levels of refinement, luxury, comfort and technology

The all-new Jaguar XF will make an extraordinary journey across London on 24 March, one week ahead of its public motor show debut in New York.

Jaguar have teamed up with expert British stuntman Jim Dowdall, veteran of dramatic action stunts in movies including Bond, Bourne and Indiana Jones, to perform a world first high-wire water crossing in the all-new Jaguar XF.

The dramatic drive, across two 34mm-diameter wires suspended high above water, will highlight the lightweight and agile credentials of the new XF and will be streamed globally on jaguar.com/newxf at 19:00 GMT on 24 March.

XF was first launched in 2007 and is Jaguar's biggest selling and most awarded car. The next generation XF is completely new from the ground up and will be the second Jaguar model to use the brand's advanced aluminium-intensive architecture. The all-new XF will set new business segment benchmarks for weight and efficiency, resulting in class leading fuel economy figures of over 70mpg.

Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said: "I believe the all-new XF will be the best looking car in its class. Elegant, handsome and with proportions that imbue a great sense of integrity - the all-new XF will be true to the strong tradition of sporting Jaguar saloons while being completely of its time."

The sophisticated all-new XF will offer exceptional levels of technology, refinement, luxury and comfort.
