For the 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS) our friends at BMW decided to roll out the red carpet for not one, but two, debuts. That would be two new additions to the 7-Series portfolio.

First up is the all-new M760i that boasts 600 horsepower. Second is the all-new Alpina B7, which makes 600 horsepower.

Decisions, decisions.

As the German company is celebrating 100 years since it opened up its operations, the company had a helluva gathering last night near New York City's super trendy Highline. You know, it's the Meatpacking District. It's the haut fashion and art scene. So, it only made sense that BMW Group brought in not one, but two artists to do their thing.

In the back of the building, surrounded by BMW's tarted up sporting vehicles and two M6 race cars, an artist was painting a massive BMW-inspired piece to mark 100 years. In the front in the MINI area there was a lady doing some woodworking to produce the MINI logo. A little less inspired, for sure, but it is a corporate gig after all.

That said, make sure to scroll through Agent 001's shots from last night. Don't miss the "bacon shrine," that will undoubtedly contribute to many automotive journalists' congestive heart failure, the super cool virtual reality set up on BMW motorcycles, the MINI JCW Convertible and, of course, the M760i and Alpina B7.
