When the McLaren F1 first came on stage it almost instantly hit the summit of car performance, bringing home the honor of the world’s fastest production vehicle in 1994 up to 2005. Making a challenger to the original F1 was not always an easy challenge.
Although the original F1 raced against the best supercars of its era, such as the Ferrari F40, Jaguar XK220, and Porsche 959, the F1 successor will be contending with the more ‘entry level’ supercars, such as the Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo, and as such it will be consequently priced.
