The 2014 Nissan Micra has been unveiled with sales starting this fall in Europe.

Nissan say that the improvements to the front and rear also involve a lot of sheet metal changes. The bonnet, headlights, bumpers, taillights, grill and the fog lamp enclosure are brand new. The front grill of the Micra brings ‘Nissan’s new corporate look’. You also get LED taillights.

Coming to the wheels. The Micra facelift gets new 15-inch alloy wheels while an option for machine finished 16-inch alloy wheels have also been added. The Micra on sale in India only features alloy wheels in the top-end diesel model.

Moving to the interior, the center console of the Micra is now restyled and features newly designed air vents. The entire console has been finished in a gloss black color while the gear lever has a silver accent to it for a contrasting color combination.

New door trim and seat fabrics find their way on to the updated Micra to offer a premium feel. The new audio system features a dash mounted USB and Aux-in port also.

Nissan has upgraded the Sat Nav system (NA in India) to feature a bigger 5.8-inch screen with the Nissan Connect Navigation featuring eco-routing.

The Micra in India features a 1.2-liter 3 cylinder petrol engine producing 75bhp of power. The same engine is sold in UK producing a few more horses and emitting 115g/km of CO2. This engine option will now be available with the 5-speed manual transmission or an updated CVT automatic.
