There’s one thing you need to know about Monterey Car Week and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. While it is easily one of the coolest places to see cars new and old, there’s a lot of people there smelling their own farts.

You know who I am talking about. Those “elite” types.

Sometimes the automakers cater to them and, rightfully so. These are the folks who do drop unprecedented amounts of coin on one-off automobiles and unique customizations that have not been previously done before. This makes it the perfect place for McLaren to show off its MSO division. And, at the same time, it can show off its all-new 570GT. Think of it as killing two birds with one stone.

This particular car has a bit of a luxury bend to it. Painted a pearl white, it is accented by glossy black accents. On the inside it features a peanut butter leather interior and more glossy black trim bits as well as complementary glossy carbon fiber. In addition, the glass roof as seen in the standard production model has been differentiated as the show car will feature an Electro-Chromatic glass panel. Much like Mercedes-Benz’s SL-Class that features Magic Sky Control, you can tint the glass in the touch of a button.

My favorite part of the car though is the titanium exhaust. Not only will it make the 570 sound better, it weighs 30 percent less than the standard system. The icing on the cake is its homage to the F1: Check out the gold treatment, which can be seen through the engine cover and from the rear.

For me this is an interesting take on the most road-capable McLaren yet. Clearly, the brand is trying to show a different side of itself with this model.
