It doesn't take a rocket scientist to observe that, generally speaking, automobile prices have been creeping upwards. Depending on the make and model these numbers have been increasing at different rates.

Personally, I've noticed that many standard automakers have started moving their products upmarket.

Case in point: See Honda.

I remember the days when an all-new Civic with good options was a $15,000 investment. Now, however, a well equipped Civic will cost you well over $25,000. So, having said that, where is the company starting its pricing for its all-new volume seller, the CR-V.

Ask and ye shall find. The 2017 CR-V will have a base price starting at just over $24,000* and on the high end it will start at $33,695*.

Is that AGGRESSIVE enough to warrant attention from today's deal-focused consumers?
