In the weird news department, we've got a storm a brewin'. That's because some peculiar images have just surfaced from a website abroad.
Said to be images of the all-new Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider, these are clearly not photographs. It appears to be a configurator or something of the like. To my eyes they're clearly computer-generated images. So, was some Photoshop artist bored? Is this an internal Ferrari configurator for VIPs?
Allegedly there was a VIP event held at this year's Pebble Beach event, but of course we can't always bank on a "source."
To me these look pretty legit as you can see the details in the pictures that indicate to me this is some sort of internal configurator. We've heard that the Spider's stripes would be different and it's clear that they are. In addition, you'll note the different wheel options and new name: F142 VS-Spider — assuming I am reading that correctly.
