2016 has been a monumental for all-new vehicle debuts. While the recent auto shows have been busy with debuts from all angles, we’re particularly excited to see how well certain autos are received when they hit showroom floors.
We can be guaranteed two things: 1) There will be winners, and 2) There will be losers.
The North American Car of the Year judges that are known to smell their own farts — and enjoy it — will be picking their finalists from this very list of more than 40 vehicles. There’s three rounds of judging, and both Canadian and American journalists will be distilling this rather large list down into a more manageable nine automobiles. There will be three finalists for each respective category.
As you may have guessed, the car category has the most eligible candidates while sport-utility vehicles follows close behind. With trucks we suspect it will be pretty easy to eliminate one player.
Having said that, we’re curious: If YOU were to be judging this contest, who would YOU pick as your final three for each category?
