A horde of reports swamped auto enthusiasts last week with the latest Porsche Panamera since its spectacular introduction on the 94th story skyscraper in Shanghai.
At this present time, the four-door Panamera will only come in different V8 trims, but more economical powerplants, including a hybrid model, are due to be available soon. Porsche has an existing Cayenne SUV prototype that is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 hybrid powerplant from Audi, and it would not be unusual if this unit will be found also powering the Panamera. Although Porsche purists may not like the idea, but the new Panamera will also be getting a regular V6 unit, which implies that the famous Porsche flat-six won’t probably be appearing in the new four-seater.
