For the fourth successive times Porsche clinched the title at the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race. With the 480hp Porsche GT3 RSR of the Manthey Racing team’s Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb and Marcel Tiemann, crpssed the finish line ahead of the Audi R8 which placed second in the race.

Occupying third place is the other Manthey Porsche, the 445hp 911 GT3 Cup S, which was piloted by Richard Lietz, Wolf Henzler, Emmnauel Collard and Dirk Werner. There were seven Porsches that crossed the finish line to make it to the ten top contenders. The fastest 24 hour Nurburgring, which clocked up a total of 3,933 kilometers, was witnessed by about 235,000 onlookers, with the Manthey Racing team improving its 206 record by 101 kilometers.
