The Aston Martin Vanquish is one of those products you have to, more or less, appreciate. It's not going to plant you to the seat like a Porsche 911 Turbo S or Nissan GT-R. It won't wow you with technology making you feel as though you're in the year 2020.

But what it will do is kill you with its magnificent looks, sound and bespoke nature.

Think of it like a custom suit. It may not be perfect but it sure as hell is WAY better than the other guys with their off-the-rack jobs.

So when DragTimes put the all-new Aston Martin Vanquish up against the likes of the BMW M5 and Nissan GT-R I asked a simple question: why? It's not a drag racer and never will be. It's a touring car, for crying out loud.
