Though this is one pretty modified rendering of what appears to be an RX F Sport with assorted parts from the CT and some sort of Porsche Macan influence on its hind quarters, speculation is starting to bubble up that Lexus is getting to work.

You can't blame it either. At the entry-level price point there's a lot of dough to be made. Buyers want the cachet a premium brand brings to the table, AND they also want the higher seating position and added utility.

While the Infiniti EX was actually first to the market — from what I can think of — there's no question things didn't really pick up until the Range Rover Evoque showed that luxury buyers WILL pick up a four-cylinder powerplant and pay big bucks for it.

Thing is Lexus is going to be showing up to the party pretty late. So late that everyone's drunk off the non-alcoholic beer and starting to leave.

That said, if we're hopeful of anyone executing an excellent, soft-riding cruiser we expect it to be the big "L."
