In the past 12 months, one vehicle that has made its way around the auto show circuit is Toyota's Lexus LF-LC Hybrid. As a big-body, two-door coupe, it appears to us that it will go up against the likes of the BMW 6-Series and Mercedes-Benz SL. Of course if this car becomes a reality and we get a better idea of how it will come to life in terms of power and price, we'll know which vehicle(s) it will square up against.

Thanks to our friends at Club Lexus, we now have images from Japan's Best Car magazine who did a write up on the LF-LC being the next-gen SC replacement.

You may remember the SC as easily one of those droopy designed hard-top convertible that was a hit among female Hollywood stars.

Now if the LF-LC replaces it, I'll tell you that would be one helluva upgrade. And that's because the LF-LC Hybrid is a particularly stunning design end-to-end.

We'll keep you updated if we hear anything regarding an all-new SC. Stay tuned.


Are we getting closer to a replacement Lexus SC? By the look of things, it certainly looks promising. In the latest issue of Best Car Magazine, a new rendering of what the next Lexus SC has been published. Heavily massaged off the Lexus LF-LC Hybrid Concept, this SC rendering has the qualities of being the next generation and more. 

The signature spindle grille is the basis for the front end accented by the controversial split LED DRL and headlamp assemblies...
