The BMW M2 has been one of the most well-received vehicle launches this year. Both the automotive press and buyers alike are in love with the latest and greatest from the Bavarians.

Hell, it even has some proclaiming that this is the return of greatness from BMW. For me, the jury is still out though I will have you know I recently drove the M2 and will putting a review out in short order.

Having said that, much like the 1M, the enthusiast community is speculating whether or not the blue and white will build a variant that's lighter, more powerful and turns quicker lap times. Though we did not see a 1M CSL or GTS, the latest word on the street from abroad is suggesting that a no-foolin'-around M2 is on the way.
