At the moment, there's a slew of camouflaged Porsche 911s roaming the globe. Some are sporting minor changes here and there, others are wearing massive spoilers and little aerodynamic fins to improve airflow. And one we've been keeping an eye on is the GTS, which is meant to be an offering between the standard 911 and the hardcore GT3.

While we haven't seen it in what feels like a little while, a bit of news surfaced recently.

Motor Trend's Jonny Lieberman has tweeted that the 911 GTS will debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Cool. Where things get interesting though is that he is saying it will be coded a 992.

If this is the case, that would be a bit peculiar as usually the company does a generation and the revamp is considered a Mark II. Does this hint that the changes in the pipe are going to be much BIGGER than a standard revision?

Stay tuned. We'll keep you abreast of the latest 911 news as we hear it.
