Although 2015 is far from over, I think Agent 001 and I would probably agree that the Lincoln Continental is one of the best concept vehicles that bowed over the course of the year. Not only was it a beautiful product, we loved the interior details on the concept car.

To us, this is what Lincoln has needed for quite some time.

Sure, it looks a bit too similar to a Bentley Flying Spur, but is that necessarily a bad thing? THINK: The Ford Explorer has sold well as a poor man's Land Rover Range Rover and the Ford Fusion has done well with its Aston Martin-inspired face. Clearly, Ford is onto something.

According to a brand manager at Lincoln, the productionalized version of the Continental is slated for a 2016 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) debut. We say bring it on!

We're looking forward to see if Ford's luxury division can bring forward a great product that will make Americans proud to drive.


...But the most important new model for the brand could be the Continental four-door sedan, which will bow at the Detroit auto show next January. It will be based on a front-wheel-drive platform; Jalal confirmed an all-wheel-drive version. A hybrid is not in the cards any time soon...
