Ford Motor Co.’s 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine is priced at $1,750 – more expensive than its entry-level engine for its 2011 F-150 pickups. The EcoBoost V6 engine will get the best fuel economy of Ford’s four new engines for the truck and it also offers the highest towing capacity.

During a recent media event in Romeo, Marc Lapine, consumer marketing manager for Ford trucks, told the Free Press that despite it being slotted as a premium engine, the company sought to make sure that the technology was affordable.
