One of the world's most famous and lauded supercars remains the McLaren F1. Although there are all-new and faster supercars today, examples being the Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 and McLaren P1, the F1 still commands the crown for many.

And another road-going variant is set to hit the market.

Rowan Atkinson who is know for his famous character "Mr. Bean" will be selling his example. Unlike other variants that have come up on the market in recent years, it is a standard car and not one of the GTRs or Longtails.

Painted a purple-ish shade, this F1 has 41,000 miles on the odo and Atkinson says it was used for just about everything since he purchased it new. He's the only owner and it has been crashed two times. Both of the accidents were significant with Atkinson's 2011 incident said to have been the most costly automotive insurance claim paid out in the U.K.

According to the latest information, the vehicle will have an asking price of 8,000,000 GBP and will be listed for sale at Taylor & Crawley**.

...Now Atkinson is selling the F1 Mclaren vehicle which has a top speed of 240mph and is expected to attract offers around the £10 million mark.

The Blackadder star said it was "time for it (the car) to be enjoyed by someone else" having bought it new nearly two decades ago.
