The Porsche Panamera was revealed not too long ago. Now with a more sleek and slinky design, it actually does look more like a 911. It also looks more in line with the Tesla Model S.

The first-gen Panamera, on the other hand, looked more akin to a humpback whale with a peculiarly bulbous rear end. 

What's a bit weird is that another prototype has been seen running around the Nürburgring. It's not much of a surprise given that we've been keeping an eye on it for quite some time now but we thought it may have been tied to the standard Panamera. Turns out Porsche has other plans.

Dubbed the Sport Turismo, it's expected to be a more user-friendly version of the Panamera. That means more headroom and greater storage capacity in the rear.

The latest spy shots nabbed the Sport Turismo running around the world famous Nürburgring. It's looking pretty good to go from where we're sitting. We can only think it would make a debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show as Porsche tends to downplay the annual Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS).


The 2017 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring ahead of its anticipated launch next year...

...The body shape has more rear head room and boot space compared with its liftback equivalent.

The wheelbase itself looks identical to that of the recently revealed saloon, suggesting rear leg room will be unchanged. However, the Panamera Sport Turismo does feature a few design tweaks to go with its longer roofline. Most noticeable is a large rear spoiler and a third brake light, which is housed beneath the spoiler. Other than that, the design of the shooting brake model appears to be identical to that of the liftback...
