The Audi Q7 is one of those products from the four rings that just resonated with people. It sold in droves alongside the likes of the Porsche Cayenne, which is a relative.

But while sport-utility vehicle family members, like the Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg, have moved onto their second generation, the Q7 has lagged behind. We like to think it's because Audi's up to something great — like lightening the load as the Q7 is not exactly a slender product.

Well at least that's the word on the street. Some estimates have said as much as 800 pounds are to be shed. Well, if Land Rover's Range Rover could go on a Jenny Craig diet, we don't see why Audi can't as well.

Though spy images have emerged of a current-gen Q7 bodied mule, these NEW shots depict an entirely different vehicle. Sporting a much more angular look — look beyond the swirly camouflage — you can see the much more aggressive headlights. In addition, note that the grille seen in the most Audi current renderings looks like it will make its first appearance on the Q7.

What I found weird was that this particular Q7 was seen wearing a pair of wheels that are typically only found on the likes of S-line vehicles. Could this actually be the very FIRST shots of an SQ7 and we don't even know it yet?

The only tell-tale sign would be the front intakes and brake kit but unfortunately nothing is crystal clear at this point.
