One of the most fun vehicles I've ever had the pleasure of driving was the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ultimate Edition. Much like the Porsche GT3, it's the lighter and more track-going variant of the 'Vette range.

What I liked about it was simple: it had direct steering, the car had a light clutch that was easy to drive and it oozed masculinity. But it did have its pitfalls, namely the interior. Clearly the latter has been addressed pretty thoroughly with the all-new C7.

So, now that the base model is out and about, what's the story with what's coming down the pipe? Will there be a follow up Z06? According the latest rumors, yes. One change though: it'll be known as the Z07, according to Car and Driver.

Actually, there's more changes. Also mentioned is that the Vette Z07 will get more power BUT it will come via forced induction. To be more specific a bi-turbo set up. The rumormill is putting out an initial figure of 600 horsepower but, frankly, I think that's a bit of an overestimate.
