It may look exactly like a McLaren MP4-12C but that's not what it is at all. Initially snapped and reported as a refreshed version of the MP4-12C Spider, in actuality, the car seen is the rumored P13.
Turns out it's real.
For those of you not in the loop, the P13 will be a McLaren with a lower output and a higher volume of production. Clearly, McLaren has big plans in store.
According to Autocar, this P13 mule has been confirmed by a source at McLaren. In addition, pricing is expected to be 120,000 British pounds, power is said to be around 450 horsepower from, you guessed it, a 3.8-liter V8 motor.
At this stage it is far too early to tell how the vehicle will be styled, especially as the only difference in this mule is the covering over the front valence. I think it's safe to say this is merely a mule for engine development.
