Considering the BMW X5 is the third most important product in the BMW and MINI series of products, you better believe that the next-generation vehicle has to deliver. Following behind the largely successful 3-Series and 5-Series, the sport-utility vehicle that reignited the xDrive craze at BMW is a major driver of sales.
Moving away from that stuff, it made its first public outing recently where it was snapped by spy photographers like paparazzi awaiting a pop icon.
When you think of it, that's essentially what the X5 is - A modern day pop icon in the world of cars.
Captured in Sweden, the new X5 was spied undergoing some winter testing, where it looks like the test driver was having a bit of fun playing in the snow. Notice the upcoming X5 playfully drifting around the test facility.
Though there are no leaks or sources yet, speculation pegs the next-gen X5 to be lighter, more efficient and feature a more handsome interior than the outgoing model. If we were to place a bet, we're pretty confident it will take some creative license from the all-new 6-Series' interior, especially with that Apple-like navigation set up that 001 adores.
