Easily one of the most anticipated sports cars in the past couple of years, General Motors' performance division has every automotive enthusiast on the edge of their seat. Why? That's because the Chevrolet Corvette is poised for the biggest change of its existence.

That's because, for the first time, it's expected to switch to a mid-engine layout. In the world of 'Vettephiles, this is a paradigm shift.

Having said that, there's been a lot of spy shots of the vehicle. But, the one you'll see now is easily the best one yet. The camouflage is starting to fall off as is the heavy cladding.

For the first time you can really see the greenhouse, front valence and get a better idea of how the venting into the engine bay will look.

There’s been another sighting of Corvette’s mysterious supercar, and this time it's cropped up on the road in Port Huron, Michigan. The new pictures were posted by Ryan Hurren on Instagram, and although the car’s covered in camo again, we get another look at its mid-engined proportions.

To our eyes, the new C8 or ‘Zora’ as it’s rumoured to be called looks a little like a Ferrari 458 with a smidge of Honda NSX, combined with the same angular lines of the current Corvette...
