As I've noted numerous times before, it's one thing to see an all-new product at an auto show under the glitz and glam of high-tech lighting systems and gorgeous women. What really matters though is how a vehicle looks on the street.
I am not going to lie, I've been pretty smitten with the 991 since it made its debut and after I drove it I was very impressed. Not only was it a blast, it was a significant leap forward from the last-gen 997.
But I was still thirsty for the GT3.
When it debuted in its white splendor at the 2013 New York Auto Show, I had to get more acquainted. Is it a bummer PDK is the only transmission choice? Sure. I have faith in the specially optimized PDK though.
Moving onto why we're here.
Thanks to Instagram I noticed one of the accounts I follow posted up a shot of an all-new 2014 Porsche GT3 roaming the U.S. somewhere. No idea where it was spotted but I do know one thing. It looks absolutely awesome on the street.
With some luck we'll be seeing more of them there too. According to Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe the all-new GT3 rides nice enough to be used as a daily — probably the first time we've heard that about a racing-inspired Porsche.
Keep an eye out and send us any photos if you see any GT3s in your neighborhood!
