You know, if the Audi S6 didn't just claim victory and start receiving such rave reviews, I wouldn't have even included it in this set of rivals. But it did.
Anyway. Jaguar's XFR has never been given proper justice and now with the BMW M5 packing more power, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG getting that Performance Package and the Audi S6 winning -- somehow --, Jaguar knows it has to beef up its current product.
So, it has decided to slap on an "S," much like the XKR and spice things up a bit.
Though I have yet to get some wheel time in the XKR-S, if Jaguar can sex up the XFR with similar treatments, I'll be very intrigued.
That XKR-S is just so damn good looking.
This near-production-ready Jaguar XF prototype caught testing in the Midlands last week is understood to be the firm’s new XFR-S saloon.
Jaguar bosses have recently confirmed the existence of the car, which is expected to use the same supercharged 542bhp V8 engine as the hardcore XKR-S. It is likely to be unveiled at the Los Angeles motor show in November.
