It's pretty hard not to be a fan of the Lamborghini Aventador. While it may be rather sophomoric with it hard-edged style, does that go up and overall ridiculous appearance, there's no question that it is full of entertainment.

From the moment you first set eyes on it until when you turn the motor over, it's a very exciting and lively experience. You quickly find yourself smiling like a gigantic buffoon.

But now that it's been out and about for a few years, it seems like it may be the right time to dress it up a bit. Perhaps change some things? In this new collection of spy shots, it appears that's what Volkswagen's Lamborghini is up to.

Seen testing alongside an orange Aventador, this prototype is seen sporting a series of changes. Most obvious is the updated front clip. Now it boasts more slats that we assume will channel airflow where Lamborghini's engineers believe it is needed most. On the sides you'll note that the pop up venting to help cool the motor when things get a bit heated appear to be permanently fixed this time. Probably the biggest change, however, is going on around its backside. That's because its old exhaust is dumped for a three-headed unit. In addition, the rear diffuser element is more aggressively styled and flows upwards into the rear bumper.

All in we're going to hold judgment until the camp comes off. That's because all of these changes may make the design a bit busier than the current Aventador, which makes use of a simple and clean look.
