Thanks to an overseas eye, a quick-thinking photographer at the 2012 London Olympics captured a picture of a very rare sight indeed.
At the Weymouth Olympic sailing venue, a MINI Cooper Countryman was seen sporting full fire brigad livery. According to Auto Express, the vehicle is fully equipped and prepared to respond to an incident.
...The fire brigade have been loaned five Countryman models by MINI to use for minor incidents and busy events just like the Olympics. Each one can carry two firefighters, six fire extinguishers, torches, ropes and medical kit.
While it still looks like a standard Countryman, the reflective paintwork and flashing blue lights will ensure that people are quick to get out of the way...
