If you caught us at the right time, a couple of weeks ago you would have been privileged enough to have seen the all-new Land Rover Range Rover completely butt naked. Until the official unveil, it seems that there will be a tight lid kept on this one, folks.

Mark Owen spotted this prototype parked up in the Lake District and managed to snap a couple of pictures showing the sculpted headlights and jewel-like rear lights. A slightly sportier silhouette is also clearly visible.

The rear doors are now longer to provide better access, and there's more space in the rear seats, too. Dimensions are likely to be similar to the current car, but thanks to an aluminium chassis and body, the new Range Rover will be much lighter – by at least 500kg – which will make it far more fuel efficient.
