The Audi RS5 is one of car enthusiast's favorite. Not only is it based on the automotive industry's most well respected designs, it also features a rough and tough, naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 that was good for more than 400 horsepower.

Although I was not a huge fan of the way the S5 and RS5 drove, I know quite a few people that LOVED them to pieces. So, we're excited to see what the market reaction will be to the all-new RS5.

Spotted in action for the first time is the second-gen RS5, which was caught on video.

As it works its way around the world famous Nürburgring, you can hear that all-wheel drive screeching the Audi's tires. In addition, you'll note the car's soundtrack has changed. That's because rather than feature that staggering and burly V8, it makes use of a forced induction six-cylinder engine.

While its output is unknown for the time being, we're expecting something north of 450 horsepower. That's because its competition are putting out a rich amount of power.

We’re expecting the RS5 to use the same engine that will be in the RS4. That should be a 3.0-liter, turbocharged V-6 that pushes somewhere between 450 and 470 horsepower. Of course, the new RS5 will also be lighter, so expect improvements in 0-to-60 times, quarter-mile times, and top speed to improve. More information will become available as time goes on, so stay tuned for future updates.
