One thing I've been wondering about for quite some time is whether or not Mercedes-Benz would produce an E-Class Coupe. That's because, well, it's a little complicated.

Although there was a last-gen E-Class Coupe and Convertible, I don't see nearly as many as I saw CLK models. Could be me or the New York Tri-State region. That said, with the very capable C-Class and obscenely great S-Class, is there really a need for a middler that will sell in arguably negligible volume? It is a dwindling class when it comes to sales.

Turns out that the three-pointed star is working on an E-Class Coupe, after all.

Given Mercedes' latest products, we're thinking it will mimic the C and S' shape. That means it will be an elegant and rather long coupe that has sweeping lines. On the inside expect the interior — particularly the dash — to be carried over.

Considering how the BMW 6-Series is now a bit dated and Mercedes has been one-upping the Bavarians one vehicle launch at a time, is this yet another Mercedes that will work its magic on the blue and white?

This time I have filmed the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé that is testing on the Nurburgring. The 2018 E-Class will be available in a 4 or 6 cylinder engine for benzine and diesel. It comes also with a 4.0 liter V8 engine by AMG with around 600HP!
