This week was a bit of a Duesy when it came to anything Ford Mustang. That's because the first shots of the all-new SVT development car were snapped on the Nürburgring. This is a BIG deal for two reasons:
- Clearly Ford will be putting that independent rear suspension to use
- This is the BEST look yet at the Shelby Mustang GT500 successor — assuming that's what this is
As of now details are obviously slim. This could be a more track-oriented Mustang or a GT500 replacement. No one knows its name and if the Shelby nameplate will live on OR if it will use the GT500/GT350 moniker.
Though it's patently obvious there are a lot of things up in the air, one thing is certain: the car sounds MEAN! We know this because the first video clip has made its way online. It's everything one could want in a muscle car V8. The Hellcat **may** have to move out of the way after this...
