If you were to rate today's production engines, there's no question that the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Hellcat V8 would be up there with the best of them. It's got to be a Top 5 player, no doubt.

With over 700 usable horsepower slammed into the Dodge Challenger and Charger, it's been amazing to see these vehicles actually on the streets. Of course, we've been wondering what's next. There's been plenty of rumors, spy shots and even video of claimed SRT Hellcat Grand Cherokees but nothing significant.

Today, that ends. That's because the first video clip of a developmental Grand Cherokee equipped with a Hellcat V8 surfaced. You can see the test car's unique setup, which includes a significant big brake kit, roll cage, and modified front end to help it breathe easier.

What you hear — if you listen closely — is a monster V8 with a distinct supercharger whine. In addition, at idle the motor has a bassy rumble consistent with my experience in an SRT Hellcat Challenger.

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it must be a duck, right?

We can't wait for this one to arrive in 2017. It's going to be staggering.

While me and a couple buddies were driving to a shop I spot a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT with its front end covered. Im thinking its just a 2017 that they forgot to uncover....UNTIL I hear some whining. It got me thinking so the SRT Fanatic I am I had to follow him. Had Hellcat Brembos, Roll Cage, and a Hellcat Motor!!!
