I am sure Tifosi around the globe are eagerly awaiting the latest iteration of Ferrari's hardcore, front-mid-engined V12 model, the F12 GTO/Versione Speciale. As of now the name has not been confirmed with conflicting reports citing both nameplates.

Although power figures are up in the air, the latest educated guesses are as high as 800 ponies.

Expect the all-new F car to benefit from more carbon fiber and lightweight construction so it can be a devil whether its on the track or on the city streets. We guesstimate that weight savings will be in the region of 100-150 pounds.

While we've been able to show you spy pictures of the all-new F12 since it was caught out in the open several times, this time we're giving you the chance to hear it for the first time. Though its first pass is rather tame, if you hang in there the driver does give it a bit of throttle after.

Let us know your thoughts, Spies!

During my trip to the Alps, we went also to Maranello. Over there I saw the new Ferrari F12 Versione Speciale / GTO testing on the road. To bad it came by only two times. But it gives an impression of the car.
