SPY PHOTOS: Next Ford F150 caught!

I didnt see anywhere in that article where it says this is the "NEW" F-150. I saw "Mule" and "Feature" thrown around a lot is all. My guess is that this option will be available on future F-150's as their beds and boxes are higher than the competitions which has been criticized and praised simultaneously. The F-150 is the best selling vehicle of all time and you can bet that Ford will make the new one "all new"... not this.

They should focus on the new SVT Lightning instead of these ugly copied pieces.

IT'S A TRUCK.

As if any of you forgot, trucks aren't supposed to be beautiful.

Function>form.

s4cabriofoxone you are right!Trucks aren't suposed to be pretty but this one isn't ugly enough to be called a truck! And I gave you a plus on your statement.

Why design a new F-150 or anyother truck if looks dont matter? Keep the same old design and update other features without making major changes to the look of the truck.

Bleh! Chop or real, that's crappy.

The only thing that'll have 6 doors are SUVs. Mark my words, that's the next big thing. Suicide 3rd row doors for 7 passengers models.

Somehow I don't think it'll catch on that well. Then again, I thought the same of the Mega Cab and there are tons of those around here.

Ok, so that looks stupid. Its probably some body-shop owner's creation from leftover wrecks.
But DID YOU SEE THE 2003 CHEVY CHEYENNE CONCEPT PHOTOS???
Looks like they re-badged the VW AAC that was shown at Detroit back in ... 17th January 2000.
Here the press release:
http://vw.tekgroup.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=9013

Here's photos of one of the coolest trucks ever (with the 1st showing of the twin-turbo 5-litre V-10 TDI, long before the Phaeton or Touareg existed).

Even pickup-truck.com covered it 7 years ago:

It says its coming out later this year.. I have a F150 and I don't see myself trading for this.. but then again I think it also said something about it being oftered to commercial buyers. I could see where they might want something like this. We have something like this where I work. The totaled the bed on a truck and had a short bed. SO they made a box to make up the differnce from going from 8 ft to 6.5 feet... its ugly.. but its the fleets truck. So they carry all kinds of tools and I think a weilder in it.

Enough about what the next-generation F150 will look like, let's here more about what will power it. One choice should be their newly-designed, 4.4 V8, super-refined, super-economical, biodiesel-capable, super-clean burning, built-by-Ford Europe, turbo-diesel engine.

I'm ready for the diesel invasion of half-ton trucks. The rest of America needs to prepare, also, for the best powertrains ever used for half tons. Ford will start it and the others will be close behind.

GMC/Chevy will use a 4.9 V8 Duramax built by GM (D-Max Division) by 2010.

Dodge will use a 4.2 V6 and/or a 5.6 V8 Cummins by 2010.

Toyota and Nissan have not announced specifics, but they will play in the diesel revolution as well.
