Set to hit showrooms in September, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is kind of a big deal. And though I think the exterior is a massively good looking vehicle, the interior left me a bit disappointed.
It's just so...OLD looking.
Once I realized it's going to theoretically also replace the Maybach I cut it a bit of slack but I still think it needs a bit of vitality.
This week Mercedes-Benz is hosting the launch of the 2014 S in Canada but probably left us out for a simple reason: our coverage was too good. We revealed the car way before anyone else BUT the three-pointed star made us remove the photos. C'est la vie.
From the launch the company's Instagram account posted a really interesting photo of the interior lit up at night with the Toronto space needle in the background. I am not sure about you all but there's something about that swath of red lighting that is a bit too "Time Square" for my taste but it definitely jazzes up the stodgy interior design.
What say you? Are YOU digging the S-Classes interior with this modern ambient lighting?
Given that the last-gen S had several color options, we're sure the new one will have double to appeal to those who appreciate setting the mood.
