Its nice, but its too small to make it a champ. Toyota needs to build GT-R competitor, just bring the Supra back and end of story.

Stud if you're in the aftermarket business. Its got great ricer potential inside and out. Dud if you're looking for a daily driver and don't want to be mistaken for an Asian gang affiliate. Unfortunately, i like sushi and dim sum too much to risk those odds.

i know that this is a concept but it took way too long to make this. i don't find anything that interesting about this car to call it a stud so i say DUD.

This is what Jeremy Clarkson would call "Mega". Defiitely a stud. Toyota is right on the money. With things as they are Toyota is more likely to make a killing if they pitch this at the niche re-opened by Hyundai. They aren't quite Pony Cars, but I suppose you could call them that. Can we call them Mule Cars? No? Okay...back to the drawing board then...

Exterior stud, I see alot of Infiniti G Coupe in the side and rear profiles, not a bad thing. Interior dud, I see nothing exciting about the cabin.

People can't seem to resist being negative, seeing as it's a Toyota and all, but the rational can see that this is clearly a departure from the last two decades of Toyota products and a great step in the right direction. It's absolutely great, and nothing like a Nissan Z in execution. Toyota should build this NOW.

Make the next Supra already. You know the fans want it and fans will buy it. Give the fans what they want. Post-Supra Toyota has been the most boring company and still is. Nobody wants to see a heavy Celica GTS that can't even run with a Fairlady. People want to see a Supra that can compete against a NSX or GT-R, the two most desirable Japanese super cars in the world. A new RX-7 would be nice as well with a rotary motor.

i'm not loving the styling, but am liking everything else about the car. just about every manufacturer should have a similarly sized rwd coupe offering.

if they clean up the styling a bit, it will be the first japanese car i would buy. i have liked some, but i would actually purchase this one.

Wow, I heard that toyota was working with subaru its good to finally see something come up, specially with that boxer engine. The front and profile view look great but not too crazy about the rear...then again its still a concept.

It's silly to pretend this concept doesn't share significant aesthetic similarities with the 370z (Proportion, Roofline, Rearwindow). That said, it does take a divergent path from that of the Z with its engine and, I'm assuming, lower weight.

For a brand like Toyota, in sore need of a performance car, this is a smart move. Seems to stand somewhere between the last Celica and Supra. Certainly not a worthy successor to the iconic Supra, but a potential "stud" nonetheless.

Looks good, but it's really more of a "chick car." Something for young (and not so young) women to trade up to or consider instead of a Miata/New Beetle/Mini Cooper.

Don't like the profile. Front end ok. Some awkward design cues but much better than most on U.S. soil for that price range.

Oh my god, what a superb looking car, just like the original supra, it is very well proportioned and very pleasing while not being overly aggressive or too funky. If you ask me i'll say most of the post 2000 car designs have tried to be radical and different rather than pleasing, beautiful, and coherent; often times you'll see that the front and the back don't match up, or there may be too much going on the sides, just too much busy details, or may be just plain bangle ugly. This car has everything, it is not revolutionary in terms of design, it is not radical, but somehow to me it looks like all the parts add up. This design is very very coherent, which almost all the modern day cars lack nowadays. And this coherence, with sporty front stance, and a beautiful coupeish side, with a matching back makes this the best design that toyota had put forth in the last decade or so. This thing is a very good alternative to the genesis coupe, if it drives as well, in terms of looks, i think both are very good looking, with the toyota edging ahead because it just reminds me of the values of the old supra, small, light, and timeless design. Yes that is the word: this design seems like it will last for many years to come. I think Hyundai genesis coupe, and the nissan 370 are its direct competitors, more so the hyundai than the nissan. At last we have something from toyota to get excited about.

Don't care for the dash but that is probably just a little car show self-indulgence. Think the rest looks ok. Just bring back the old supra and i would be ok.

This just doesn't look like a super car, I don't like the rear of the car, love them or hate them there is no denying that Ferrari's look like they are something special and extremely sporty. This Lex just doesn't cut it.

they should make this car w/ the 305 hp 2.5 turbo sti motor and awd bring back the celica turbo all trac of the late 80's early 90's
