The Leon Twin Drive Ecomotive hybrid concept by Seat was revealed at the firm’s Martorell Research and Development facility near Barcelona, Spain.

This hybrid concept will be the foundation of a production vehicle that might see the light of day in 2014.

Production models of the Twin Drive hybrid will have a pure-electric driving capability in urban areas with an internal combustion engine (most probably diesel-powered) for longer journeys.

Brilliant. Not that hard to figure out that a diesel motor with a full hybrid setup is one of the best solutions to getting more mileage. Now lets just make it with bio-diesel (the kind now made from corn cob waste not from actual corn kernels.)
