The first product of GM ever built in China, the Buick new Regal 2.0 Turbo, which will be offered with a turbocharged powerplant, is making its world introduction at the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show. The car will come with three powerplant options.

GM China says that coming out with cars equipped with turbocharged powerplants is part of their commitment in the ongoing improvement of their customer choices in the Chinese auto market. The carmaker claims that their turbocharged powertrain comes with high potency and fuel efficiency with reduced emssions. This is a move forward as GM aims to enhance its overall efficiency in its product lineup in the domestic market. The New Regal intermediate sedan, an advanced GM produce, was released to the Chinese market last December.
