Well, it looks like Lexus will be taking advantage of social media for one of the first times with the launch and introduction of its new 2013 Lexus LS.



Though we're not clear how extensive of an update this will be -- is it an all-new LS or simple a refresh(?) -- Lexus has made it abundantly clear that if you're interested, you can tune in on Facebook and watch them drop the cloth, live.

The unveil is set for Monday, July 30 at 11:30 p.m. EDT. That's 8:30 p.m. for you west coast guys.

did you mean the gorgeous new grilles it's cramming onto all it's aged cars?

or the 3.5 V6 it's put in every car since 2005 without any meaningful upgrades or changes to power/performance?

or the GS that has seen sales drop by 50% over the course of it's first few months on market and now sells less than 40% the volume of the much more expensive 5-series or E-class?

can you read? he said it was 'best in class.' so he mentioned all the competition. the LS doesn't do anything meaningful better than any of the cars it CLAIMS to compete with. and it doesn't really compete because it sells a lesser car at a far lesser price. you'll know lexus has made a world class car when it can charge a price close to the competition. it can't.

And what really bugs me is that these people actually seek Lexus articles and spew the same useless drivel over and over again, I bet without even bothering to read the actual article.

It's one thing defending your favorite brand when some troll blasts it on an an article about the brand - taking off the gloves is justified. But to actually click on an article about a brand you didn't care for to begin with, ridicule the cars, and sling insults at its fans...unbelievable.

If Lexus ever read forums such as these, rest assured they'll never take any of your comments into consideration. I know I wouldn't. There's a very clear distinction between constructive criticism and the garbage you folks waste your time hurling.
